First off battling is turn based. We battle by turns and the person who goes first is the person who has the most speed(evasion). You get to use one move per turn. Before either of you go you first both post your stats and do not attack yet.
Now the person who has the most evasion now precedes to their first move. Every turn after that you first check to see if your opponent made a error in their calculations or are just plain cheating. ( You don't have to worry about that if you are against a NPC, but please check anyway.)
Now the damage math is self explanatory except how evasion effects the damage.
First calculate who has the highest evasion and by how much ( just subtract the big one from the little one).
Then subtract the difference of the evasions from the damage.
By the way if the difference is negative then you still subtract.
-(-10) is the same thing as +10
Which means if the difference i s negative just add.
